Close to our hut is the Charles Kuonen bridge - with its 494 m the longest pedestrian suspension bridge of the world. In a 3 hour walk, you can reach the bridge from our hut. Enjoy the view and decend to Randa afterwards (another hour). The otherway round is possible as well! You can park your car as well on the Täschalp as in Randa. Further information

Peaceful Mountain Experience
The Täschalp also offers alternatives to those who prefer not to hike. To find your inner-peace, visit the mountain chapel, observe mountain ibexes and marmots, or discover colorful fauna. While going for walks through the lonely mountain valley at the foot of the Rimpfischhorn, the rolling sound of Mellich Stream, and pristine nature will surely enchant you.
One of the most important highlights of the Täschalp is the alpine dairy (the Sennerei). In July the cows are driven from Täsch and the surrounding region to the mountain pastures so that they can spend the summer there. The juices of the alpine herbs growing in the lush meadows find their way into the milk of the cows and enhance the flavor of the world-renowned Täschalp-cheese, giving it a distinctive spicy flavor that is a special treat when it has reached maturity. In mid-September, the cows are colorfully decorated and driven back into the valley. Different mountain cheeses and Swiss Ziger cheese can be purchased at the dairy, though availability varies.
