Our family-operated Europaweg Hut on the Täschalp is located at an elevation of 2,225m in Täsch’s tributary valley right at the doorstep of Zermatt. Here you can still experience nature like our ancestors did with a view of the most beautiful of the 4,000 alps, one that is completely free of gondolas, lifts, and ski slopes. Chirping marmots, the rolling of Mellich creek, and a diverse array of flora round off your down-time here in the mountains.
Our kitchen offers our guests fresh Valaisian cuisine, homemade cakes, and a wide selection of refreshments. If you would like to stay longer or end a stage of your hikes of the Europaweg (from either the Tour of Monte Rosa or Haute Route), you can also reserve a mattress in our dormitory.
The Taschälp even has a lot to offer to those on a day-trip. You can visit the mountain chapel or the alpine dairy (the Sennerei) or you can use our restaurant as the starting or endpoint of day-trips to places such as the Weingartensee (lake). We have compiled a concise overview of different activities under the heading Activities.
The team at Europaweg Hut and the Willisch Family are looking forward to your visit!
